Exclusive Black Belt Magazine Interview - Part 1 and 2
Welcome To Point MMA
Willie “The Bam” Johnson—7-Time World Martial Arts Champion, Black Belt Magazine Hall of Famer, Two-Time “Baltimore’s Best” Winner and recipient to the honor of having September 28th proclaimed “The Bam’s Day” in Baltimore by Former Mayor Martin O’Malley—uses the instrument he’s been passionate about his entire life, the martial arts, to bring the world Point MMA. Here at Point MMMA, we have been extremely successful using the principles of the martial arts to empower youth to avoid abuse, bullying, drug-dealing, gang wars, addiction, homelessness, incarceration and obesity.
There are many other success stories out there, from college graduates, top-ranked Special Forces Rangers, FBI agents, police officers and many others. Master Willie “The Bam” Johnson and Master Kimber Johnson are combating the monster of obesity, making sure our kids have the character traits to avoid the desire that can bring about the behaviors/actions that lead to issues with weight. We work with communities through local and national events as well as seeking funding—from sponsorships to fundraisers—to make our program, Point MMA Krazy Athletic, more than an idea or curriculum. Point MMA Krazy Athletic is a movement that goes beyond the dojo, gym or school. This is a lifestyle change like basketball or football. It’s a great skill set that builds the foundation of good character. Martial arts build fitness, mental toughness, a healthy lifestyle and athleticism.
